Albert Thomas Silver

April 27, 1927 — November 6, 2012

Albert T. Silver, age 85, of Calhoun, GA. passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 6th, 2012 at Gordon County Hospital.

A native of Lindale, Georgia Mr. Silver was born on April 27th, 1927, the son of the late Lincoln and Ethel Howell Silver. Mr. Silver had spent the great part of his life in Calhoun and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Silver was a member of the Nellie Peter's United Methodist Church of Calhoun. Prior to his retirement Mr. Silver was a self-employed appliance repairman. Mr. Silver was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Silver was married on March 1st, 1957 to Dorothy Vivian Rooks Silver who preceded him in death on September 9th, 2009.

Survivors include 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret Elaine Wamboldt of Orlando, Fla. and Barbara Susan Adams and her husband, Robert G. Adams, Jr. of Dataw Island, S.C.; 1 son, Robert Stephen Silver and his wife, Diane Edna Stanton of Orlando, Fla.; 2 grandchildren, Brian Stanton Silver and Grace Elizabeth Wamboldt; 2 great-grandchildren, Jordon Wamboldt and Michael Wombolt; a brother, Jesse Silvers of Ocean City, Maryland. He is also survived by a niece, Sheila Sorrow and by 2 nephews, Michael and Jerry Silver and by other nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Silver will be private.
