Ann Freeman

July 21, 1932 — January 25, 2008

Ann Latimer Freeman, age 75, of #86 North Avery Road, Apt. #5, Rome died early Friday morning, January 25th, 2008 at the residence following a short illness.
A native of Fulton County, Georgia, Mrs. Freeman was born on July 21st, 1932, the daughter of the late Samuel Luther Latimer and the late Jemmie Cook Latimer. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a member of the Transfiguration Episcopal Church of Rome. Until her illness Mrs. Freeman had been associated with Berry College in the food service department for the past 6 years. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Latimer and by a brother, Sam Latimer.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Freeman to whom she was married on March 11th, 1951, 3 daughters, Teri Butler and her husband, Sandy of Duluth, Ga., Toni Kemper of Ft. Worth, TX. and Janet Hudson and her husband, Will of Franklin, TN.; 1 son, Bryan Freeman and his wife, Gina of Rome. 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Ann Latimer Freeman will be held on Monday afternoon, January 28th, 2008 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry McCoy officiating with interment to follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will include Glenn Butler, Grant Butler, Jay Butler, Glen Latimer, Jim Latimer and Billy Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers will include Dennis Hodge, Bill Hatcher Vernon Browning and Barry Davis.
Mrs. Freeman will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Sunday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contribution may be made to Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd, P.O. Box 163, Rome, Georgia 30162-0163.
