Billie Ronald Simmons

Billie Ronald Simmons, Sr., age 75 of Rome, passed away on Dec. 29, 2014. Mr. Simmons was a police officer for 24 years, Vice Chairman of Merit Board for 35 years, Co-Owner of Coosa Valley Communications, Volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America for 10+ years, was an eagle scout and also volunteered throughout the community. Mr. Simmons was a veteran having served in the National Guard.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Beverly Simmons; three children, Ronnie Simmons, Jr., Ronda Hall, Missy Baker; 8 grandchildren, Kenzie Roberts, Cody Boyd, Jake Roberts, Harlie Simmons, Ericka Simmons, Kristy Hall, Criag Baker, Harley Baker; sister Glenda Garner; brother, Kenneth Simmons.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
