Bobbie Nell Lee, age 74 of #60 Dugger Drive, Rome, died Wednesday morning, October 29th, 2008 at her residence.
A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, Mrs. Lee was born on July 6th, 1934 the daughter of the late Glenn B. Hill and the late Flora Bell Adams. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church where she was a member of the Bessie Myrick Sunday School Class and the P.V.N. Pilgrims. Prior to her retirement in 1999, Mrs. Lee was associated with the State of Georgia as a computer programmer for the Revenue Department in Atlanta. Mrs. Lee returned to Rome to live following her retirement. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Glenn Lee in 1998.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Debbie Daugette of Rome, Donna Casey of Rome and Diane Crowe of Silver Creek; 9 grandchildren, Ricky Pyle, Laura Tucker, Amanda Ingram, Billy Crowe, Ashleigh Young, Nick Casey, Kenny Lee, Jr., Jimmy Lee and Michele Lee, 9 great-grandchildren also survive as do 1 sister, Joyce Tarr of Panama City, Florida; 1 brother, Glenn Hill of Lyerly, Georgia. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Bobbie Nell Lee will be held on Saturday morning, November 1st, 2008 at 10 o'clock at the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack McCurry officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Mills Family Cemetery on the Haywood Valley Road in Chattooga County. Mrs. Lee will lie-in-state at the church on Saturday morning from 9 until 10 o'clock.
The following 4 grandsons, Ricky Pyle, Billy Crowe, Nick Casey and Josh Young, along with Gary Hill and Tommy Oswald will serve as active pallbearers.
Members of the Bessie Myrick Sunday School Class are requested to serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Lee will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 7 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
