Carl Russell Rhinehart

March 20, 1933 — January 15, 2010

Carl Russell Rhinehart, age 77 of #13 Wilson Drive, SW, Rome died Friday evening at a local hospital.
A native of Pittsfield, Mass., Mr. Rhinehart was born on March 20th, 1933 the son of the late Henry and Carrie Temple Rhinehart. He had been a resident of Rome for 44 years moving here from Richmond, Mass and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. Prior to retirement Mr. Rhinehart was associated with General Electric of Rome for 35 years having served as Cost Accounting Manager for many years. Mr. Rhinehart was a member of the G.E. Athletic Club and Association, the CEL Fun Society, the G.E. Retirers Club and was past President of the G.E. Credit Union. After retirement, Mr. Rhinehart and his wife, Flora traveled extensively abroad and to all 50 states.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Rhinehart to whom he was married on July 30th, 1955; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie Wallace (Don) of Rome, Joan Wenth (Phillip) of Madison, Ala.; 5 sons and 4 daughters-in-law, David Rhinehart of Rome, Robert and Pam Rhinehart of Calhoun, GA., Thomas and Ann Rhinehart of Rome, Jon and Toni Rhinehart of Rome, James and Tricia Rhinehart of Rome; grandchildren, Russell, Rachel and Caitlin Wallace, Nolan, Nelson, Nichole, Erin, Shelby, Morgan, Will, Jamie and Elizabeth Rhinehart, 1 sister, Delphine Renzi of Pittfield, Mass. Nieces and nephews also survive.
A Funeral Mass for Mr. Rhinehart will be held this (Monday) morning, January 18th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Patrick Kingery, Dr. David Campbell and Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
Grandsons and son-in-laws will serve as active pallbearers.
A Rosary and Wake Service for Carl Russell Rhinehart were held on Sunday evening at 6 o'clock at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home. Following the Rosary and Wake Service the family received friends at the funeral home until 9 o'clock.
