Carolyn Trapp Toles, age 73, of Rome passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 in a local hospital.
She was born Oct. 26, 1942 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Sidney "Bo" Trapp and Frances Smith Trapp. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother William "Bill" Trapp and nephew Greg Trapp. Mrs. Toles was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church. She was co-owner of City Pawn and Jewelry for over 25 years. She was a member of Calhoun Elkettes and served on numerous committees as well as state committees. She was a member of the Rome Elkettes for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Toles to whom she was married Sept. 5, 1976. She is also survived by nieces Robin Wright and husband Larry, Allison Neighbors; she is also survived by several great nieces.
The visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Hinkley and Rev. Bobby Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tim Bannister, Randy Bowen, Wayne Comer, John Ganes, Craig McDaniel and Doster Toles. Honorary pallbearers will be Calhoun Elks and Elkettes.
