Charlotte Ann Shepard

June 20, 1942 — February 15, 2013

Charlotte Weeks Shepard, age 70, of the Woods Road, Rome passed away on Friday morning, February 15, 2013 at the residence.

A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Shepard was born on June 20, 1942, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Gordon Weeks. Mrs. Shepard was a 1960 graduate of Coosa High School and was a member of Mt. Alto Baptist Church. Mrs. Shepard, a beautician was associated with Lili Ann Beauty Shop, and for a period of time was associated with the Emergency Department at Floyd Medical Center in Admissions, for a period of time associated with American Security Insurance Company and prior to her retirement was associated with Shear Professions Beauty Salon.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Thomas "Tommy" Shepard to whom she was married on June 28, 1963; 1 daughter and her husband, Chamaine and Mike Ray of Rome; 1 son and his wife, Chris and Kim Shepard of Denver, CO.; 2 grandchildren, Michael and Dakota Ray; 3 sisters, Sandra Powell (Wayne) of Cumming, GA., Nell Bollen(Danny) of Rome and Jane Manner (Tommy) of Cartersville, GA.; 1 brother, Evans Weeks (Vivian) of Adairsville, Ga.; 1 brother-in-law, Jimmy Shepard (Frances) of Rome,; special mother, Veleria Weeks of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
