Elalier Hulsey Elaine Martin

Elalier "Elaine" Hulsey Martin, age 86, of Sharpsburg, Georgia and a former Roman died early Sunday morning, February 10th, 2008 in Peachtree City, Georgia.
A native of Buchannan, Georgia, Mrs. Martin was born on January 9th, 1922, the daughter of the late John David and Eula Mae Gentry Wisener. Mrs. Martin resided in Forest Park Georgia for a number of years after moving from Rome where she was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in College Park, GA. For a period of time Mrs. Martin was associated with Diprima's Steak House of Rome and prior to her retirement served as the Gift Shop manager at the Sheraton-Airport Hotel in Atlanta. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by the father of her children, Leonard Guy Hulsey in 1987, and by a son, Leonard Leroy Hulsey. She was married to Maurice Duncan Martin in 1967 who preceded her in death in 1972.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jim McCool of Sharpsburg, GA.; 4 sons, Dennis Hulsey and his wife, Suzzane of Stockbridge, Ga, Barry Hulsey and his wife, Brenda of Senoia, Ga., Michael Hulsey and his wife, Sandie of Riverdale, Ga. and Charles Hulsey and his wife Sherry of Stockbridge, GA. 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive as do 2 step-daughters, Donna and Teresa Martin both of Rome; 1 sister, Amma League of Newman, GA. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be held this (Tuesday) afternoon, February 12th, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. from the graveside of East View Cemetery in Rome, GA. with Mr. Jerrell McCool officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery, Rome, GA.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Mike and Billy Hulsey, Dell Schrimsher, Harold Lee, Mike Mitchell and Troy Giles.
Mrs. Martin will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends today (Tuesday) from 1 until 2 o'clock.
A memorial service for Mrs. Martin will be held later in Sharpsburg, Georgia.
