Emil Wilbur Adam, III, age 92, of Rome, died Friday evening, September 14th, 2007 at a Rome Georgia hospital.
A native of Billings, Montana, Mr. Adam was from a very prominent founding family in Montana, born on June 8th, 1915, the son of the late Emil W. Adam, II and the late Helen Goddard Adam. Mr. Adam worked on various engineering projects throughout the United States and the Americas'. During World War II, Mr. Adam served in the Aleutian Islands as a civilian engineer. Mr. Adam retired in California as a licensed civil engineer with the United States Corp of Engineers. He was a past member of the Elk's Club in Woodland, California where he served as an officer and Exultant Ruler. Mr. Adam was active in volunteer work in Woodland, California.
Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Glenda Adam and Douglas and Mary Adam, 3 grandchildren, Julie Robinson of Rome, Cynthia Adam of Kennesaw, Ga. and Douglas Adam, Jr. of Idaho; 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a brother Lou Adam.
Services for Emil Wilbur Adam, III will be private.
