Emma Tinsley Brown Camp, age 90, of Rome died Thursday afternoon, June 17th, 2010 at Summit HealthCare of Rome.

A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Camp was born on July 22nd, 1919, the daughter of the late Monroe V. and Bertha Lena Harrison Tinsley. She was a member of the Mt. Alto Baptist Church and prior to retirement was associated with the Northwest Regional Hospital. Mrs. Camp enjoyed time with her grandchildren, cooking for others, loved camping and reading. Mrs. Camp was preceded in death by 3 brothers and was married in March 1955 to Charles William Camp, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Pamela Camp Marlow of Calhoun, and Peggy Brown Whiting and her husband, Gary of Rome; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, John Daniel Brown and his wife Donna of Rome and Chuck and Teresa Camp of Lawrenceville, GA. 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Emma Tinsley Brown Camp will be held on Monday afternoon, June 21st, 2010 at 12:30 from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tim Baird officiating with interment to follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Mandi Spears, Buffy Womack, Crystal Duke and Connie Fricks.

Mrs. Camp will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends from 11 o'clock until 12 noon on Monday morning.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Transitions Hospice Care, 610 Shorter Avenue, Suite 9, Rome, Georgia 30165.

Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements for Emma Tinsley Brown Camp.
