Ethel Beatrice Dunaway

Ethel Beatrice Dunaway, age 78, of #57 Dixie Park Road, NW, Rome, (Armuchee Community), died Thursday evening, June 5th, 2008 at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Ms. Dunaway was born on September 6th, 1929, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Dunaway and the late Sara Marguerite Yarbrough Dunaway. She had spent her entire life in Floyd County and was a life long member of the New Armuchee Baptist Church, where she taught the Primary Sunday School Class. For a period of time Ms. Dunaway was employed at H.L Green Company and Silvers 5 & 10 Store for 17 years. Prior to her retirement due to ill health Ms. Dunaway was associated with the Belk Rhodes Company for 29 years. Ms. Dunaway was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister, Daisy Pearl Dunaway.
Survivors include 1 sister, Sara Ruth D. Mitchell, a brother, Bobby Earl Dunaway and his wife, Dorothy all of the Armuchee Community; 3 special nieces, Sara Ann Lynch and her husband, Larry , Ethel Elizabeth "Betty" Grigsby and her husband, Glenn and Brenda Gail Bray and her husband, Ferrell, 2 special nephews, Thomas Newton "Tommy" Mitchell and Bobby Earl "Buddy" Dunaway, Jr. 3 great-nieces, 1 great nephew, 3 great-great nieces and 1 great-great nephew also survive.
Funeral services for Ethel Beatrice Dunaway will be held this (Saturday) afternoon, June 7th, 2008, at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward E. Holsomback and the Rev. Keith Kelley officiating. Interment for the family will follow in the family lot of the New Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Buddy Dunaway, Jerry Brown, Ferrell Bray, Tommy Mitchell, Larry Lynch and David Cooper.
Ms. Dunaway will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends today from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
