Frances Dee Bishop

Frances Dee Bishop, age 69, of the Garden Lakes Community, Rome, GA. died on July 2nd, 2010 at a local hospital.

A native of Gordon County, Georgia, Mrs. Bishop was born on January 27th, 1941, the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Julia Mae Hall Fuller. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was of the Baptist Faith. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Bishop was associated with Floyd Medical Center and Redmond Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by a son, Henry Joe Fuller in 2004, by a daughter, Juanita Powell in 1994, by a sister, Edith Cape and by a brother, Willard Fuller. Mrs. Bishop was married on July 18th, 1970 to Harlan "John" Bishop who preceded her in death in 1993.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Diane Maynor and Jean Fuller both of Rome; 1 son, Michael Fuller of Rome; 2 granddaughters, Julie McGill of Woodstock, GA. and Brandi Blalock; 3 great-granddaughters, Kailee Auston, Madison Blalock and Isabella McGill, 1 great-grandson, Lucas Blalock; 2 brothers, Rayford Fuller of Rome and Rondy Fuller and his wife Kathryn of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bishop will be held on Monday afternoon, July 5th, 2010 at 1 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's with the Rev. Buddy Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Morning View Cemetery.

Mrs. Bishop will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Monday, July 5th, 2010 from 11a.m. until the funeral hour. At other hours the family will be at the home of a daughter, Diane Maynor at #100 Hillside Avenue, NW, (the Garden Lakes Community) Rome.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Danny Bratcher, Keith Earwood, Dale Robinson, Jimmy Roberson, Jimmy Boyd, Jackie Powell and Richard Casey. Honorary pallbearer includes, Daniel Blalock.
