John Cliff Kidd, Jr.

Mr. John Cliff Kidd, Jr., age 43, of Shannon, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019, following a lengthy illness.

Junior, as his family called him, was born May 3, 1976, son of Glenda Gail Morrow Kidd and John Cliff Kidd, Sr. He was a 1994 graduate of Model High School, attended Floyd College and received his Bachelors degree from Kaplan University. John was a member of McFall Baptist Church and most recently had been attending The Church. Prior to becoming disabled in 2010, he had been associated with Plant Bowen for a number of years. Junior loved music and was an accomplished musician, playing several instruments.

John, known to his wife Holly Lynn Morris Kidd as "Daddy", is survived by her and he married Holly on March 15, 2014; daughter, Courtney Thompson; grandson, Jaxon Bunch; parents, Glenda and John Kidd, Sr. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for John will be Monday afternoon, December 30, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Floyd and Rev. Kent Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Morning View Cemetery.

Johns family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
