John Robert Agan

John Robert "Johnny" Agan, age 61, of #15 Boyd Road, SW, Rome died Friday afternoon from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A native of Floyd County, Johnny was born on March 7th, 1948, the son of Nonnie B. Miller Agan and the late Crayton Agan. He attended East Rome High School and was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Navy. Johnny was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and attended Community Chapel. He was a member and past Master of the Floyd Springs Masonic Lodge #167, the Low 12 Club, the Day Light Lodge & Mackey Masonic Lodge in Cave Springs, the Gold Wing Association, Rome Shrine Club and The Eastern Star. Johnny preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Donna Agan in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Walters Agan to whom he was married on April 5th, 1990, 1 daughter, Kim Agan of Rome; 1 son, John Robert "Bob" Agan. II of Augusta. GA.; 2 Step-sons, Van Patrick of Armuchee and Dan Patrick of Atlanta, GA.; 10 grandchildren, MotherSan Antonio, TX., Karen Wrenn of Jacksonville, Fla. and Janet Pollard of Armuchee; 1 brother, Jerry Agan of Elizabethton, Tenn.; his beloved dog, Sassy Fras. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for John Robert "Johnny" Agan will be held this (Monday) afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Max Tucker officiating. Interment to follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Floyd Springs Masonic Lodge #167 F&AM conducting Masonic graveside rites.
There will be a called communications at the Floyd Springs Masonic Lodge for attending the service of John Robert "Johnny" Agan.
Mr. Agan remained at Fred Talley' Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Charlie and Walt Johnson, Doug Ackerman, Doyle Cagle, Bo Bohannon and Harold Isham. The City of Rome Solid Waste Department will serve as honorary pallbears.
