Kathleen M. Riordan

Kathleen M. Riordan, age 85, a former resident of Bay Dar Road, Rome, died Tuesday evening, July 14th, 2009 at Fifth Avenue HealthCare of Rome.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Riordan was born on June 9th, 1922, the daughter of the late Albert C. and Sally Kathleen Weaver Smith. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a member of the Armuchee Church of God. For a period of time Mrs. Riordan was associated with RCW Industries of Rome. She was married on February 11th, 1956 to Rex Carter Riordan who preceded her in death on December 20th, 1990.
Survivors include nieces and nephews and special friends, Sara and Cedy Rollins of Rome.
Funeral services for Kathleen M. Riordan will be held this (Friday) afternoon, July 17th, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Stover officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Mrs. Riordan will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) afternoon from 1 until 2:30 p.m.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Jimmy Shipp, Al Austin, Jonathan Austin, Buddy Smith, Barry Rollins and Jackie White.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Armuchee Church of God, 4974 Martha Berry Highway, Rome Georgia 30165.
