Mr. Kenneth W. "Pete" Wilson, age 66, of 475 County Road 585, Cedar Bluff, AL died Thursday evening, December 30, 2010, in Cherokee Medical Center.

A native of Rome, Mr. Wilson was born on May 10, 1944, the son of the late William Marcus and Clara Carden Wilson. He has been a resident of Cedar Bluff since 1989, moving there from Rome. Mr. Wilson was a builder and mason for the majority of his life. He enjoyed fishing and was of the Church of God faith. In addition to his parents Mr. Wilson was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne Ray and Becky Dutton.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Debbie Bray Wilson, to whom he was married on February 4, 1978; three daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda Butler and Rhonda Hackney, both of Rome, and Cindy and Ricky Autry of Armuchee, GA; one son, Mark Wilson of Rome.. Six grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Wilson will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sammy Wilson and Mr. Wilson's grandson, Johnathan Wilson, officiating.

Mr. Wilson will remain in Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends this (Sunday) evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. At other hours they will be at the residence.
