Lillian Louise Fowler, age 88, of #131 Dodd Blvd, Rome, died Thursday morning, September 20th, 2007 at a local hospital.
A native of Clayton County, Georgia, Mrs. Fowler was born on May 9th, 1919 the daughter of the late Alfred C. and Johnnie Elizabeth Eberhardt Stephens. She has been a resident of Rome since 1984 moving here from Monroe, Georgia. Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church and was a master seamstress and was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie E. Fowler in 2006, a great-grandson, Richard Anthony "Tony" Mathis and 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mrs. Fowler was married on June 11, 1938 to Elmer Augustus Fowler who preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy C. Echols of Rome,7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren , 9 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Jewell Hulsey of Sonia, GA. and Rosa Lee Elston of Forest Park, GA. Several step-grandchildren of many levels also survive.
Funeral services for Lillian Louise Fowler will be held this (Saturday) morning, September 22nd, 2007 at 11 o'clock from the graveside of Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA. with the Rev. Cory Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA.
Mrs. Fowler remained at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family received friends on Friday evening from 7 until 9 o'clock.
