Lois Edna Johnson

Lois McGee Johnson, age 88, of #2694 Old Rockmart Road, Silver Creek, Ga. died Friday morning, March 6th, 2009 at a local HealthCare Center.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Johnson was born on October 10th, 1920, the daughter of the late Alberta Vann McGee and Park Lee McGee and a decedent of Lt. Thomas McGee, a Revolutionary soldier, as well as a decedent of four Confederate soldiers.
She was married to Judge Harry Johnson, Jr. on March 11th, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 6th, 1990. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Janis McGee Johnson Justice and her husband Kenny Odell Justice and Harry Johnson, III and his wife, Karen Hart Johnson. Three grandsons also survive. They are Mark Calvin Roberts, Harry Lee Johnson Roberts and Harry Johnson IV. Great-grandchildren who survive are Casey Roberts and Mark Jacob Roberts. 2 step-granddaughters, Kristen Hope Justice and Jina Justice Ford.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the South Broad United Methodist Church, charter member of Spade and Trowel Garden Club, and a Rome Federated Life Member. Mrs. Johnson was also a member of the Emma Sansom Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and a member Zavier Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Daylily Society, the Daffodil Society and a flower show judge.
In her memory, Mrs. Johnson requested that friends give each other flowers or make donations to the charity of their preference.
Funeral services for Lois McGee Johnson will be held this (Saturday) afternoon, March 7th, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at the South Broad United Methodist Church with the Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Private interment services will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson will be carried to the church this (Saturday) afternoon where the family will receive friends from 2 o'clock until the funeral hour.
Active pallbearers include, 3 grandsons, Mark Calvin Roberts, Harry Lee Johnson Roberts and Harry Johnson, IV, Darrell Lowery, Eddie Vann and Steve Stutts.
