Lynda Lee Smith

Lynda Christensen Smith, age 57, of #9 Elliott Drive, SE, Rome, Georgia, died Saturday, June 16th, 2007, at her residence in Rome.
A native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Smith was born on December 7th, 1949, the daughter of the late Christ James Christensen and Anna Mildred Young Christensen. Lynda had been a resident of Rome for the past 34 years moving here from Silver Spring, Maryland. She was a homemaker, artist and a grammy and was of the Lutheran Faith Lynda was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryle Darin and 1 brother Chris James Christensen II. Lynda was married on October 19th, 1980 to Henry Grady Smith, Jr. who preceded her in death on September 18th, 1992.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Erica Reese of Rome, GA.; 2 sons, Chris Christensen and Grady Smith both of Jefferson, GA.; 7 grandchildren, John Mazzo, Jr., Kayla Mazzo, Taylor and Dylan Reese, Kayla, Cullin and Jessica Ambrose, 2 sisters, Renee Rharbite and Elizabeth Kasonavich both of Johnstown, PA.; 1 brother, Christ Eric Christensen of Virginia Beach, VA.; her best friend and caregiver, Teresa Fowler of Rome. 2 aunts, nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service for Lynda Christensen Smith will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, 2007, at 12 o'clock noon at the residence, #9 Elliott Drive, SE, Rome, GA. 30165 with the Rev. Joey Ineichen and the Rev. Danny Bray officiating. For directions to the residence where the memorial service will be held please call 706-346-3813.
