Mae Imogene Hardin

Mrs. Imogene Waits Hardin, age 74, of #56 Rooney Road, West Rome, died Sunday morning, December 23rd, 2007 at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Hardin was born on July 28th, 1933, the daughter of the late James C. and Alice Roberta DeParlier Waits. She had spent her entire life in Rome and was a member of the Bush Arbor Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Hardin was associated with Lindale Manufacturer Company. She loved reading and listening to music. Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Chris Miles and Gary Shaun Hardin.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Hardin to whom she was married on August 13th, 1952; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Billy Prater of Rome and Ginger and Tony Richard of Rome; 2 sons, Danny and Gary Hardin both of Rome; a special son, B J Caldwell of Rome; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren , 2 sisters, Mrs. Marie Hurley of Cedar Bluff, Alabama and Mrs. Geneva Yarbrough of Armuchee. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hardin will be held on Thursday afternoon, December 27th, 2007, at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Izell officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, B J Caldwell, Billy Hardin, Corey Richard, James Patterson, Robin Ables and Chris Rickard.
Mrs. Hardin will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Wednesday) evening from 7 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence, #56 Rooney Road in West Rome.
