Margaret Lenore Brannon

Margaret L. Brannon, age 80, of #17 South Elm Street, Rome, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, February 14th, 2007, at her residence.
A native of Floyd County, Margaret L. Brannon was born on January 30th, 1927, the daughter of the late Jackson R. and Rebecca Haney Brannon. She had spent her entire life in Rome and was a long time member of the West Rome United Methodist Church, where she was also a long time member of the Rena King Sunday School Class. Prior to her retirement, Margaret L. Brannon was associated with the City of Rome Water Department for 35 years.
Survivors include a sister, Jackie Brannon of Rome. A number of cousins also survive which includes Sharon Brose of Largo, Fla.
Funeral services for Margaret L. Brannon will be held on Saturday afternoon, February 17th, 2007, at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Les Connell and Gordon Haney officiating with interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Harold Parker, Johnny Davis, Howard Touchstone, Lloyd Dobbs, Tom Jones and Lee Corlew.
Margaret L. Brannon will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contribution may be made to the West Rome United Methodist Church, 1003 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30165.
