Marilyn Lousie Patterson Agan

Mrs. Marilyn Gresham Patterson Agan, age 71, of Lindale, Georgia, died suddenly Friday, June 22nd, 2007, at St. Luke Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Agan was born in Floyd County on September 21st, 1935, the daughter of the late Devis Watts Gresham and the late Annie Orr Gresham. She was a member of the Word and Way Baptist Church where she was a pianist. She worked most of her life as a church secretary and pianist for the congregations pastored by her first husband, Reverend Billy Patterson who died in 1992. They were married for 36 years.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Agan of Lindale; 3 daughters and their spouses, Donna and Rick Painter of Jacksonville, Florida, Kathy and Dan Peterson of Whitehall, Michigan, and Julie and Brian Hawkins of Baxley, Georgia; 2 sons and their spouses, Glenn and Christy Patterson of Rainsville, Alabama and Mel and Sandy Patterson of Tampa, Florida; 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren survive as do a sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and John Van Horn of Rome; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Betty Gresham of Decatur, Georgia. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Agan will be held on Wednesday afternoon, June 27th, 2007, at 3 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike York and the Rev. Billy Murdock officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church Cemetery.
The grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
Mrs. Agan will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
