Mary Ruth Sharp

Mary Ruth Presley Sharp, age 75, of Rome, GA passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on July 2, 1948 in Summerville, GA to her late parents, Miles Presley and Eula Prince Presley. She retired from Northwest GA Regional Medical Center where she worked as a LPN. Mary was a faithful member of Coosa Valley Praise and Worship Center where she loved to attend. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving children; son, Doug Sharp and his wife Marnie of Cave Spring, GA; son, Mike Sharp and his wife Jacqueline of Cedartown, GA; son, Dwayne Sharp and his wife Kayla of Rome, GA; daughter, Tina Cremer and her husband Mike of Rome, GA; daughter, Amber Sharp of Rome, GA; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Gene Sharp.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday January 15, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday January 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. According to Mary’s wishes, following the funeral service she will be cremated. The family will receive friends at Doug Sharp’s residence on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
