Myrtle Lee Haney

Mrs. Myrtle Lee Haney, age 77, of #3 Willingham Street, Rome, died Saturday evening, September 12th, 2009 at the residence.
A native of Bartow County, Georgia, Mrs. Haney was born on August 8th, 1932, the daughter of the late John L. and Mollie Ann Lewis Wilbanks. She had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and was a member of the Reynolds Chapel Baptist Church. For a period of time Mrs. Haney was associated with Anchor Rome Mills and prior to her retirement she was a cashier with the Lyons Den of Rome.
Survivors include her husband, Arlie W. Haney, Sr. to whom she was married on April 21st, 1951; 1 daughter, Nancy Haney Fowler (Randy Mills) of Rome; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Arlie W. Haney, Jr. and Rosemary Haney of Rome; 1 step-daughter, Frances Jergins of Stathum, GA.; 1 granddaughter, Kelly Fowler; 2 grandsons, Sterling Haney and Shane Haney; 3 great-grandchildren, Kacey Fowler, Gage and Krissy Haney; 4 step-granddaughters, Jeannie Grant, Jodie Elder, Joannie Mitchell and Jessica Bentley. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Lee Haney will be held on Tuesday afternoon, September 15th, 2009, at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey Bowman and the Rev. Rayford Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Shane Haney, Sterling Haney, Ralph Childers, Billy Herring, Jerry Wilbanks and Larry Haney.
Mrs. Haney will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Monday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
