Mrs. Nancy Hedden Haney, age 82, of #1345 Redmond Road, Rome, died Friday afternoon, December 19th, 2008 at Golden Living Center of Rome.
Mrs. Haney was born in Benton, Tennessee on February 4th, 1926, the daughter of the late William Turner Hedden and the late Bertha Mae Franklin Hedden. Mrs. Haney was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She lived most of her live in Rome and Floyd County. Mrs. Haney was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hill Haney in 2003, a sister, Leona Hedden, and 4 brothers, Floyd, Riley, Walter and Leonard Hedden.
Mrs. Haney is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Stevens of Cleveland, TN. and Peggy Phillips of TN.; 2 sons, David Hidgon of TN. and Jim Haney of Cartersville, GA.; 1 sister, Gladys Hardin of Rome; 1 brother, Johnny Hedden of Dalton, GA. ; a special friend, Judy Goss of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haney will be held on Monday afternoon, December 22nd, 2008 at 1 o'clock from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Dr. Mike Cordle officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Haney will lie-in-state at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Monday morning from 11 o'clock until 12:30 p.m.
