Nora Lee Crumbley

Nora Lee Crumbley, age 99, of Mayo Road, Rome, GA, passed away early Friday morning, November 2, 2012, at Morristown Hamblen Hospital in Morristown, TN.

Mrs. Crumbley was born on July 13, 1913, in Murray County, GA, the daughter of the late Newt Langford and the late Della Baxter Langford. She had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County for the greater part of her life and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and the Ready Sunday School Class. Prior to retirement Mrs. Crumbley was associated with Fox Manufacturing Company of Rome. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Isaiah Crumbley on June 15, 1995, to whom she was married on November 25, 1934. Mrs. Crumbley was also preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine "Gerry" Davis, and by two grandchildren.

Mrs. Crumbley is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Linda Crumbley of Rome, and Jerry and Karen Crumbley of Morristown, TN; a son-in-law, Earl Davis of Rome, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Ledford of Chatsworth, GA; 3 brothers, J.L. Langford of Murray County, GA, H. Langford of Rome and Tommy Langford of Chattooga County, GA. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crumbley will be held on Monday afternoon, November 5, 2012, at 3 o'clock in the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Hinkley and Doctor Roger Whorton officiating. Private interment will follow in the family lot of Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Crumbley will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Monday afternoon, November 5, 2012 from 1 o'clock until the funeral hour.
