Pansy Truvella Campbell

Mrs. Pansy Boggs Campbell, age 97, of 1165 Sand Springs Road, Rome, (Texas Valley) died Wednesday evening, December 31st, 2008 at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Campbell was born on March 21st, 1911, the daughter of the late George W. and Bessie Samantha Green Boggs. She had spent her entire life in Floyd County, was a member of the Armuchee Baptist Church, the W.M.U. and the E.C.S. Sunday School Class. Prior to her retirement in 1973, Mrs. Campbell was associated with Celanese for several years. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Mrs. Campbell was married on December 10th, 1938 to George Ernest Campbell who preceded her in death on July 5th, 1976.
Survivors include 1 daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Billy Henderson of Rome; a son, Edwin Campbell of Rome; 2 granddaughters, Connie Boozer and her husband, Marty and Lisa Henderson all of Rome; 3 grandsons, Lance Campbell and his wife Tonya, Billy Henderson, II and his wife, Niki and Scott Henderson all of Rome; 7 great-grandchildren, Brandi and Karli Boozer, Bailey and Brody Henderson, Ethan Campbell, Aubryn and Amber Patton, a sister-in-law, Tokay Shumate of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell will be held this (Saturday) afternoon, January 3rd, 2009 at 2 o'clock at the Armuchee Baptist Church on Big Texas Valley Road with the Rev. Glen Clonts, Rev. Hoyt Coker and the Rev. Paul Camp officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell will lie-in-state at the Armuchee Baptist Church today from 12 noon until the funeral hour where the family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 o'clock.
Grandsons, Lance Campbell, Marty Boozer, Billy Henderson, II and Scott Henderson along with nephews Tommy and Ricky Cordle will serve as active pallbearers.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contribution may be made to the W.M.U. at the Armuchee Baptist Church, 6648 Big Texas Valley Road, NW, Rome, Georgia 30165.
