Pattie Jean Gentry

Mrs. Pattie Gentry, age 77, a long time resident of Garden Lakes, Rome, died Wednesday morning, December 13th, 2006, at a Rome hospital.
A native of Bartow County, Mrs. Gentry was born on August 21st, 1929, the daughter of the late Henry S. and Sarah Frances Carver Padgett. She had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and was a member of Mizpah United Methodist Church. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Gentry was associated with Floyd Medical Center for 32 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Gentry was married on April 7th, 1950 to Carl Gentry who preceded her in death in May 2002.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Fran Scarber of Rome and Roseanne Vernon of Phoenix, Arz., 5 grandchildren, Andrew Scarber, Karame Elrod, Bobby, Joseph and Casey Lord, 3 great-grandchildren, Madison Campbell, Caitlin Elrod and Tyler Lord.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gentry will be held on Friday afternoon, December 15th, 2006 at 4 o'clock from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Brett Roes officiating with interment to in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this (Thursday) evening from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at their respective homes.
