Paul Harvey Mansfield

Paul Harvey Mansfield, age 88, of 2517 Maple Road, Rome died Tuesday evening, September 26th, 2006 at a Rome hospital.
A native of Waterbury, Conn., Mr. Mansfield was born on March 23rd, 1918, the son of the late Warren A. and Martha Fowler Mansfield. He had been a resident of Rome for 3 months having moved here from Woodbury, Conn. and was a member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church of Woodbury. Mr. Mansfield was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion in Woodbury and a member of C.S.P.P.E. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Mansfield was associated with the Mental Health Center in New Haven, CT. serving as a maintenance supervisor. Mr. Mansfield was married on February 9th, 1947 to the former Pauline Mildred Wood who survives.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Mansfield of Rome. Also surviving are 7 daughters, Diane Joyce of Florida, Donna Norman of Conn., Holly Carden of Adairsville, GA., Wendy Hall of Rome, GA., Laurel Guilanio of Conn., Paula Lush and Robin Simmons both of Conn.;4 sons, James, Phillip, Michael and Arnold Mansfield all of Conn. 38 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Mansfield will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
Following the visitation in Rome Mr. Mansfield will be carried to the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home in Woodbury, Conn. (203-263-2146) where funeral services will be held in the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the North Woodbury Cemetery with military graveside rites.
