Robert Carlton Berry

Robert C. "Bobby" Berry, age 79, of Cedar Bluff, AL, formerly of Rome, GA, passed away on Saturday evening, March 22, 2014, in Centre, Alabama.

Mr. Berry was born in Floyd County, GA, on May 3, 1934, the son of the late Ewell and Cora Martin Berry. He had been a resident of Rome for most of his life, moving to Cedar Bluff following retirement in 1997. Prior to retirement his was associated with Auto Parts of Rome for over 35 years. Mr. Berry enjoyed building bird houses and what-not shelves and was an avid fisherman and a lover of his dogs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a son, Mike Berry, in 2010.

Mr. Berry is survived by his wife, Edna Lumpkin Berry, to whom he was married on August 4, 1967; two daughters, Debbie Wilson of Cedar Bluff, and Kathy Larsen and her husband, Mark, of Counce, TN; a son, Ricky Berry and his wife, Rosa, on Jacksonville, NC. Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Berry will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Mr. Jack Lumpkin officiating.

Mr. Berry will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
