Scott Alan Henderson, the beloved son of Billy and Joyce Henderson, age 30, of #61 Lavender Road, NW, Rome, died on Wednesday afternoon, September 2nd, 2009 at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Scott was born on December 25th, 1978, the son of Billy L. and Joyce Campbell Henderson. He had spent his entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the Armuchee Baptist Church. Scott was a 1997 graduate of Armuchee High School and received a degree in Neuromuscular Therapy from Coosa Valley Technical College. Scott was employed with U.P.S. in Customer Service and had recently started his own business as a licensed Neuromuscular Therapist located on John Davenport Drive, Rome. Scott loved fishing, scuba diving, kayaking and was an avid sportsman at Armuchee High School. Scott was preceded in death by grandparents, Ernest and Pansy Campbell.
Survivors include his parents, Billy and Joyce Henderson; 1 sister, Lisa Henderson of Rome; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Niki Henderson of Rome; 1 niece, Bailey Henderson; 1 nephew, Brody Henderson; his beloved dog, Maverick; grandparents, W.E. and Jean Henderson of Trion, GA. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Scott Alan Henderson will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 6th, 2009 at 4 o'clock at Armuchee Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Clonts officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The following will serve as active pallbearers: Nick Bridges, Trippy Tumblin, Travis Campbell, Lance Campbell, Kevin Cordle and Jeff Cordle.
Scott will lie-in-state at the Armuchee Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon from 2 until 4 o'clock where the family will receive friends. At other hours they will be at the residence.
