Sherry Faye Puryear

July 4, 1955 — May 10, 2009

Sherry F. Puryear, age 53 of #412 Robinhood Road, Rome, died Sunday, May 10th, 2009 at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Puryear was born on July 4th, 1955 the daughter of the late James M. and Mary Jean Martin Owens. She had spent her entire life in Rome and attended Northwood Baptist Church. For a period of time Mrs. Puryear was associated with Image Carpet and was a beautician with Great Clips.
Survivors include a son, Jason Puryear of Rome; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Charlotte Owens of Rome; 2 nieces, LeAnn Owens of Rome and Terri Jean Dellenback of Dawsonville, GA.; 2 nephews, Kyle Tolbert of Rome and Doug Tolbert of Piedmont, Ala. A number of great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Sherry F. Puryear will be held on Wednesday morning, May 13th, 2009 at 11 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Jackson, the Rev. Frank Towe and the Rev. Jackie Culberson officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Puryear will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Kyle and Doug Tolbert, Clyde Cook, Wayne Watson, Donald Gollahon and Charles Martin.
