Sylvia Jewell West

Jewell Helton West, age 92, of 1345 Redmond Road, Rome, died early Tuesday morning, May 22nd, 2007, at Golden Living Center of Rome.
A native of Bloomfield, Mississippi, Mrs. West was born on April 15th, 1915. She had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and was a homemaker. Mrs. West was of the Methodist Faith. Mrs. West was married to James Frank West who preceded her in death along with 4 sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Zorrina Vaughn of Virginia Beach, VA.; a son, Jimmy "James" West, Jr. of Norfolk, VA.; a number of grandchildren. Other survivors include, Harold and Carol Ritchey, Anne and Franklin Higgins all of Rome.
Funeral service for Mrs. West will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 27th, 2007, at 3 o'clock from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Dr. Billy Goolesby officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
