Tracy J. Duvall, age 63, of Rome, died on Sunday evening, May 17th, 2009 at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Mr. Duvall was born on March 9th, 1946 the son of the late Ben T. and Ida Mae Duvall. He had spent the greater part of his life in Rome and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Duvall was a truck driver and was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Florine Hibberts, Mary Blevins and Susan Williams and by 2 brothers, Bennie and John Duvall.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Stacy Duvall Daughtery and her husband, Chris of Cedartown; 2 sons, William Tracy Duvall and Gary Franklin Duvall both of Silver Creek; 8 grandchildren, Joanna Duvall, Shirley Michelle Davenport, William Tracy Duvall, Jr., Dale and Zack Baker, Jessica Korin Quick, Perry Mack Quick and John Christopher Daughtery, 1 sister, Barbara Dean of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Tracy J. Duvall will be held this (Tuesday) afternoon, May 19th, 2009 at 4 o'clock from the cryptside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Jody Brock officiating. Entombment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Mr. Duvall will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) afternoon from 2 o'clock until 3:30.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, James Duvall, David Glover, Michael and Joe Diprima, Michael Hibberts and Gary Duvall.
