Anthony "Tony" Wayne O'Neal

Mr. Anthony "Tony" Wayne O'Neal age 54, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his

family on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

Tony was born on April 8, 1968, in Rome, GA. to Milledge Joseph O’Neal and Lois Ann Minter O’Neal.

Tony was a 1986 graduate of Pepperell High School and a 2006 graduate of Shorter College. Tony

started his own company, Tony O'Neal Flooring in 2019. Prior to starting his own business, Tony worked

with his father and brother for many years with O’Neal Flooring, and at Advanced Steel Technology. Mr.

O'Neal was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years, where he served as Co-

Sunday School Director and as an ordained minister. He was also an avid University of Alabama fan, Roll Tide!

Tony was an active member of the community serving in many different capacities to help others in

need. He was committed to giving back to the community and was always willing to step in and lend a

hand. He loved to spend time with family. His entire family and all his friends knew Tony as very

outgoing and he will be missed by all.

Mr. O’Neal was preceded in death by his sister, Stacey O’Neal Rodriguez; maternal and paternal grandparents; and his father-in-law: Wayne Allison.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years: Julie Johnston O'Neal of Rome, GA; son: Cameron O'Neal

and his wife Caitlin of Rome, GA; daughter: Abigail O'Neal of Rome, GA; grandson: Axson O’Neal;

parents: Milledge and Lois O'Neal; siblings: Melissa “Missy” (Deric) Williams, Jody (Heather) O’Neal;

mother-in-law: Marilyn Allison; father-in-law: Jerry (Bobbie) Johnston; sister-in-law: Jennifer (Allan) Orr;

brother-in-law: Scooter (Bethany) Allison; brother-in-law, Francisco Rodriguez. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and

friends.

Funeral Service for Mr. O'Neal will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Salmon

Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Silver, Rev. Scooter Allison, and Rev. Brandon Bruce. Interment will

follow at Eastview Cemetery. Tony's family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 5:00

pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers include the following gentlemen: Scooter Allison, Terry Brown, Eugene Garrett, Jody O’Neal, Allan Orr, Jeff Rickman, and Joey Rickman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony’s niece and nephews: Colby O’Neal, Zach O’Neal, Christopher Williams, Zander Williams, Jakob Rodriguez, Cruz Rodriguez, Mason O’Neal, Callan O’Neal, Andrew Strickland, Ethan Strickland, Eli Strickland, Jack Allison, and Hydee Allison.
