Audrey Williams Earle, age 78, of 4092 Floyd Springs Road, Armuchee, GA. passed away Wednesday night, February 27, 2013 at the residence.
A native of Cherokee County, Alabama, Mrs. Earle was born on December 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Merl Vasser Williams and the late Evie Wood Williams. Mrs. Earle was a 1955 graduate of Armuchee High School and for a period of time was associated with Miller Bros, Davison's of Atlanta and for 22 years, Mrs. Earle was associated with Cobb County School System serving as a school bus driver. Mrs. Earle also served as a substitute school bus driver for the Floyd County Schools. Mrs. Earle was a member of the Everett Springs Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. Mrs. Earle was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Maddison McDonald, by a sister, Nita Hess and by 2 brothers, Gordon and James Williams.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Earle to whom she was married on September 28, 1957; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Malcolm Strickland of Dallas, GA.; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Lisa Earle of Dallas, GA., Steve and Jane Earle of Franklin, GA. and John and Stasi Earle of Lithia Springs, GA.; 8 grandchildren, Alex Strickland, Amy Earle, Brett Gray, Brannon Gray, Alexandria Earle, Thomas Watson, Atlee Watson and Cody Watson; 1 great-granddaughter, McKenzie Gray also survive as do 3 sisters, Nettie Everett (Bill) of Rome, Patricia Gilbert (Leon) of Woodbury, GA. and Martha Moore (Joe) of Resaca, GA.; 2 brothers, Winston Williams (Joy) of Everett Springs and Gene Williams (Phyllis) of Everett Springs. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Audrey Williams Earle will be held this (Saturday) afternoon, March 2, 2013 at 2 o'clock at the Everett Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Mike Ellis and the Reverend Bob Skelton officiating with interment to follow in the family lot of the Everett Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Earle will lie-in-state at the church this (Saturday) afternoon from 1 until 2 o'clock.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Michael and Jacob Wood, Jim Conley, Ed Driver, Brannon and Brett Gray, Atlee Watson and Ken Dunagan. Past and present Deacons of the Everett Springs Baptist Church are requested to serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Earle will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family received friends on Friday evening from 6 until 9 o'clock. At other hours the family will be at the residence, 4092 Floyd Springs Road, Armuchee.
