Ms. Bessie Mae Thacker, age 85 of Rome, GA passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Bessie was born on December 1, 1940, in Rome, Georgia, she lived a vibrant life, characterized by her devotion to family and a strong sense of southern charm.

Funeral Services to honor and celebrate the life of Ms. Bessie Mae Thacker will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory. Following the funeral service, Ms. Thacker will be laid to rest at Floyd Memory Gardens. Pastor Gary Diggs will be officiating the service. Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Nick Henderson, Gage Owens, Kason Henderson, Jeff Royston, Little Ray James and Kobie Drew.

A visitation for Ms. Thacker will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory.
