Brian Keith Compton, a beloved figure in the automotive community and a dedicated father, passed away peacefully at his home on September 14, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on April 2, 1966, in Rome, Georgia, Brian was a proud graduate of Model High School and spent many years working in the auto paint and body industry. His passion for his work was evident, and he thrived as a self-employed professional, where he truly enjoyed what he did.
Brian was known for his outgoing personality, making friends easily and leaving a positive impression on everyone he met. He was a remarkable individual who cherished the many friendships he cultivated over the years. A true daredevil at heart, Brian was deeply involved in the motocross community. He found joy and exhilaration in riding and racing dirt bikes, living life to the fullest, which is reflected in the remarkable fact that he broke every single bone in his body throughout his adventurous life.
In addition to his love for motorcycles, Brian was an enthusiastic fixer of all things needing repair and was regarded for his ability to mend and restore. He had a deep-seated love for animals, especially for his dear friends dog named Lola, who brought him immense joy.
Mr. Compton is survived by his loving family: his son, Bryson Compton of Rome, GA; his parents, Bobby Wayne Compton and Nan Hobgood Compton, also of Rome, GA; and his brother, David Wayne (Elaine) Compton of Canton, GA.
A visitation will be held at Salmon Funeral Home, located at 2516 New Calhoun Hwy NE, Rome, GA, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location, beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
