Carol Ann Ritchey

Carol Ann Lancaster Ritchey went to be with her Lord on October 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Daisy Lancaster and her sister, Linda Scott. She was born in Attalla, AL on November 24, 1942. She was a graduate of Etowah High School where she was a class favorite. She married Harold (Bud) Ritchey on December 29, 1962 and moved to Rome, GA. She worked in retail for many years as a buyer for J.C. Penny's, Lad & Lassie on Broad Street, as well as Kids R US. She retired from Rome City Schools as an elementary teacher.

She was a founding member of Rome Baptist Temple and attended church there for 43 years. She enjoyed singing specials in church, spending time with family and traveling. She will be missed by her husband of almost 60 years, Harold 'Bud' Ritchey; her children, Cindy (Warren) Stephens, Mike (Jeanetta) Ritchey; grandchildren, Sarah (Cody) Stephens Avrett, Ben, Madelyn, Lauryn Ritchey; her brother in law, Charles Scott and many additional relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Rome Baptist Temple on October 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM.

The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on the same day of service. Rev. Chris Hanks will officiate with Salmon Funeral Home in charge of the funeral services.
