Mrs. Connie Sue Chamberlain, age 73 of Rome, GA born on March 15, 1952, in Fort Benning, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in Rome, Georgia and is the late daughter of Mr. John King and Catherine Wingate King.
Connie dedicated a significant part of her career as a secretary at Chamberlain & Sons Towing, a company she managed alongside her husband, the late William "Bill" Francis Chamberlain. Her commitment to her work exemplified her strong character and work ethic, traits that endeared her to colleagues and clients alike. More importantly Connie cherished her family and was a loving mother and grandmother, Connie was cherished by her family.
Connie is survived by her sons, William Joshua Chamberlain and his wife Elaine of Rome; Robert Bobby Thomas Chamberlain of Rome; and Gerald Cody Chamberlain of Abbeville, Georgia and her grandchildren, Kailey and Claire Chamberlain, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Chamberlain and her parents, John Hugh King and Catherine E. Wingate King.
Mrs. Chamberlain's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who remember her as a source of love and warmth.
Keeping with Mrs. Chamberlain's wishes, she will be cremated and no formal services are being planned at this time.
