Daniel Salazar Maldonado, age 27, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022.


Daniel was born in Manhattan, NY, on January 16, 1995. He was a graduate of Nyack High School. Daniel was a quiet and reserved young man who loved all things outdoors. He was a loving person and everyone that met him always remembered him. He enjoyed playing on his Xbox and his computer, spending time with family and working. Daniel was employed with the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office where he served as a Detention Officer.


Daniel is survived by his loving parents, Gloria Maldonado and Porfirio Salazar of Nyack, NY; sister, Stephanie Salazar of Newark, Ohio; nephew, Valentino Holvapfel; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends also survive.


A graveside service for Daniel will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery; 158 Riverside Rd, Tallapoosa, GA 30176. Chaplain Alton Stamey will be officiating the service.
