David Franklin Brown, Sr., age 86, of Silver Creek, Georgia, passed away Friday morning, October 4, 2024.
David was born on September 20, 1938, in Dekalb County, Alabama. David lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and a remarkable ability to brighten the days of those around him.
A skilled heavy equipment operator, David took great pride in his craft, demonstrating not only expertise but also a genuine passion for his work. His career was characterized by dedication and a strong work ethic, qualities that the imparted to those who had the privilege of knowing him. His service in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959 instilled in him a sense of honor and discipline that he carried throughout his life.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Howard Brown and Frances Louise Edgemon Brown; son, Curtis Brown; brothers, Bobby Brown, Fred Brown, Curtis Brown, Wayne Brown; and sister, Linda Roden.
He is survived by beloved wife, Mildred Lee Brown and their loving children: son, David Brown, Jr.; daughter, Donna K Brown. David also leaves behind several grandchildren, Kristie Brown, David Brown III; great-grandchildren, Danielle Grace Brown, Cayden Brown.
A Graveside service for David will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens. David's family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM.
