Donnie Lee Spradlen, Jr

Donnie Lee Spradlen, Jr, known affectionately as DJ, passed away at his home in Cave Spring, GA. He was born on December 27, 1981, in Lakeland, FL. DJ was an electrician who possessed a multitude of trade talents. Renowned as a fixer, he had the remarkable ability to mend not only electrical issues but also family dynamics. His knack for solving problems extended to both professional and personal realms.

DJ was described as the most loving and sweet individual. Everyone he encountered loved his outgoing nature and selfless attitude. His willingness to assist others knew no bounds, always putting their needs above his own. Beyond his professional endeavors, DJ found true joy in spending time with his beloved children and family. His hobbies revolved around creating lasting memories with those he cherished most.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Spradlen, Sr; sister, Ashley Spradlen; and stepbrother, Ben Clark. Surviving family members include his children: Jacob Spradlen, Aribella Spradlen, and Leigha Spradlen of Cave Spring, GA; mother, Melinda Cabe and her husband Jeff of Rome; step-mother Kay Clark; brother, Tim Reeves and his wife Amy of Cave Spring, GA; sisters, Serena Cordle and her husband Aaron, Destiny Spradlen, and Becky Clark; uncle, Thomas Spradlen and his girlfriend, Amanda Cabrera of Frostproof, FL; aunt, Melinda Spradlen Bijeaux and her husband Simon; Uncles, Aaron Proctor of Rome, John Haynes and Billy Haynes; Aunt, Angie Fowler of Cedartown; nieces; Shelby Brunson and her husband Zack, Victoria Spradlen; a nephew, Devin Knuth; as well as many cousins and friends.    

A Celebration of Life for DJ will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Kingston Baptist Church, 40 East Main St. Kingston, GA 30145.
