Dorothy Havlin

Dorothy Nowak Havlin, age 94, of 45 Woodland Bridge Road, Adairsville, GA, died Sunday, November 17, 2013, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Havlin was born in Chicago, IL, on November 9, 1919, the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Schmidt Nowak. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and had been a resident of Adairsville for the past 8 years, moving there from Dalton, GA. Prior to retirement Mrs. Havlin was associated with World Carpets of Dalton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Havlin on July 17, 2007, to whom she was married on September 3, 1949.

Mrs. Havlin is survived by two nieces, Barbara Quackenbush of New York, NY, and Cindy Witsche of Fort Myers. FL. A close friend and caretaker, David Walker, also survives.

A memorial service to honor the life of Dorothy Nowak Havlin will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Tom Ewing officiating.
