Duane Franklin Logan, a respected and cherished individual, passed away on March 22, 2026. Born on October 8, 1951, in Rome, Georgia, Duane lived a life marked by dedication, humor, and a steadfast work ethic.

A graduate of East Rome High School, Duane's commitment to hard work was evident throughout his life. He served honorably in the United States Navy, exemplifying patriotism and dedication to his country. Following his military service, he channeled his skills and diligence into his career as an exceptional carpenter and later as a valued member of the maintenance department at Sears. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were hallmarks of his professional life.

Duane was known not only for his impressive work ethic but also for his vibrant personality. He was very funny, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. His love of travel took him to many places, with a particular fondness for Greece and Italy, where he embraced the culture and history that enriched his spirit. He also enjoyed tinkering, always curious and engaged with the mechanics of the world around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Glenda Kathleen Rickett Logan; his son, Jeffrey Duane Logan; his daughter, Lori Kathleen Brown; and his granddaughter, Macie Kathleen Brown, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Duane’s passing also marks the loss of several loving brothers and sisters who preceded him in death.

Duane Franklin Logan’s legacy is one of hard work, humor, and heartfelt devotion to family and country. His memory will endure in the lives of those who loved him and in the many ways he touched their hearts and lives.

In keeping with Mr. Logan's wishes, he will be cremated and a graveside service at the Georgia National Cemetery is currently being planned at this time. As soon as those service details are finalized they will be updated here.
