Elston Lee "Chuck" Gentry, Jr. age 56, of #22 Beverly Drive, SW, Rome, passed away on Sunday morning, December 19th, 2010 at the residence.

A native of Floyd County, Georgia, Chuck was born on December 14th, 1954 the son of Elston Lee Gentry, Sr. and Patsy Jo Abney Gentry. Chuck was a 1973 graduate of West Rome High School and a member of the Coosa Congregation of Jehovah Wittnesses. Chuck was associated with Design Concrete for 23 years where he served as office manager. Chuck was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Gentry in 1994, by grandparents, Ella Mae and Clarence Gentry, Beatrice and Clifton Abney.

Survivors include a son, Randy Gentry of Rome; former wife, Kecia Gentry of Rome; parents, Elston and Pasty Gentry of Rome; 1sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Donny Key of Canton, GA.; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Darlene Gentry of Rome; 1 niece, Taylor Atkinson of Rome; 1 nephew, Andy Key of Canton, GA. Aunts and uncles also survive.

Funeral services for Elston Lee "Chuck" Gentry, Jr. will be held on Tuesday afternoon, December 21st, 2010 at 2 o'clock at Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Mr. Darrell Camp and Mr. Micheal Poole officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Jake Poole, Alex Fuller, Bill Peters, Darrell Lee, Andy Key and Randy Crabtree.

Chuck will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Monday) evening from 6 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
