Geneva (Roper) Crowder

Mrs. Geneva Roper Crowder, age 89, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday morning, July 28, 2017.
A native of Rome and Floyd County, Mrs. Crowder was born on November 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Henry B. Roper and Thelma Nelson Roper. She was a long-time member of the Friendship Baptist Church and was active in the Crusaders Sunday School Class. Mrs. Crowder was married in 1947 to Norman Crowder and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Mrs. Crowder is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel Mausoleum at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ken Hinkley officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Friendship Baptist Church.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Mrs. Crowders caregivers who were there to nurture and care for her in her last days.
