Mrs. Ginger Darlene Muysken, age 68, of the Everett Springs community, passed away Wednesday evening, September 22, 2021, in a local hospital.
Ginger was born in Camp LeJeune, NC, on February 20, 1953, daughter of the late Robert Lehentz Everett and Wilma Marie Lawson Everett. She had been a resident of Everett Springs since 1995, moving here from Los Angeles, CA. Ginger was an educator working with Head Start children for over 20 years prior to retirement in 1995. She was a communicant of Saint Clements Catholic Church of Calhoun, GA, and was a very giving person. Ginger loved going to Target, bargain hunting and was always looking for deals and discounts. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, and had a passion for teaching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Everett, and a sister, Tylee Walton.
Ginger is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband, John Robert Muysken, whom she married January 9, 1971; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and David Harris of Los Angeles, CA, and Olivia and Eldon Waits of Cartersville, GA; one son and daughter-in-law, Westley and Rebecca Muysken of Rome, GA. Nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Teresa (Dean) Pitts also survive.
A Celebration of Life for Ginger will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Alvis Miller Memorial Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home.
