Mr. Hunter Wayne Clark, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on August 12, 2026, in Rome, Georgia, at the age of 27. Born on February 25, 1999, in Rome, Hunter’s life was marked by dedication, kindness, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Hunter pursued education with enthusiasm, completing college coursework and always seeking ways to expand his knowledge. His commitment to service was evident through his time in the United States Air Force, where he took great pride in serving his country. In the Air Force, he worked with aircraft parts, metals, and technology which he enjoyed deeply. Athletics played a significant role in Hunter’s life. As a student, he excelled in baseball, football, basketball, and even tried his hand at wrestling. His love for sports extended beyond school, he enjoyed all sports in Armuchee, created many friendships through these hobbies, and often found solace and joy playing golf or working out. His competitive nature was matched only by his generosity and encouragement toward others. Hunter’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. As a member of Armuchee Baptist Church, and a regular attendee at Redemption Church, he devoted himself to The Lord and found comfort and guidance there. He enjoyed listening to Christian music and drew strength from its messages, sharing his faith openly with those around him. Those who knew Hunter will remember him for his boundless energy and enthusiasm, whether it was boxing, spending time outdoors, or being with his family and friends. His capacity to care, his infectious optimism, and his selflessness left a lasting legacy. Hunter’s life, though brief, was filled with loyalty, achievement, and love.

Hunter is survived by his loving parents: Chad and Robin Clark of Rome, Georgia; siblings: C.J. (Taylor) Clark of Rome, Georgia, Kristen (Garrett) Anglin of Summerville, Georgia, Summer (Codey) Agemy of Sarasota, Florida, Britni (Trey) Bagwell of Rome, Georgia, Emily (Heath) Bearden of Rome, Georgia, Makena (Chyanne) Reece of Rome, Georgia, Addison Brock of Rome, Georgia and Gracie Clark of Rome, Georgia. His grandmothers: Joanne Freeman and Sandra Clark. He is also survived by 19 loving nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Patsy Duncan, Larry Clark and Wayne and Sandra Westmoreland 

A visitation for Hunter will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM in the Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel.

Hunter will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 9:30 AM with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Scott Reynolds, Codey Agemy, Garrett Anglin, Trey Bagwell, Brett Barker and Justin McCormick. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: CJ Clark and Heath Bearden.

Hunter Wayne Clark’s passing leaves a profound absence in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be forever missed, always loved and his legacy will be carried on by his loving family and friends.
