James Ladelle Landers

James Ladelle Landers, Sr., age 68 of Villa Rica, Georgia and a former residence of Armuchee, GA. died Thursday, June 27, 2013 in Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.

Ladelle was born July 27, 1944 in Floyd County, GA., the son of the late James Middleton Landers and the late Vivian Wilson Landers. He was a 1962 graduate of Armuchee High School and was a Veteran having served his country for 13 years as a United States Marine. Ladelle worked for Berry Florist of Rome for several years. He lived in the Armuchee Community until relocating to Villa Rica, GA. Ladelle operated the Tackett's Florist in Villa Rica for a number of years, then worked for ABF Trucking for many years prior to becoming disabled. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Villa Rica, was a member if the Temple Masonic Lodge #322 F&AM and past Master of the Villa Rica Lodge #72 F&AM. Ladelle was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marvin Herbert Landers.

Ladelle is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon Pilcher Landers; sons, James Ladelle Landers, Jr. (Kim) of New Port Richey, Florida, Michael Jason Landers (Vickie) of Hiram, GA. and Kenneth Archie Landers of Villa Rica, GA.; one brother, Larry Kenneth Landers (Mary Ann) of Armuchee, GA. 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren also survive as do nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2 o'clock from Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 2345 Rockmart Road, Villa Rica, GA. with the Reverend Joe Condra officiating. The Temple Masonic Lodge #322 will conduct Masonic Rites and The Central High School Jr. ROTC will conduct military honors.

The family received friends at the J Collins Funeral Home, 206 South Carroll Road, Villa Rica, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, June 28, 2013.
